Insomnia is an international project of the Digital Media master's program at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen. From march 2006 until april 2007, a project group of 8 students focused on the development and exploration of a mobile game called Insomnia. Players of Insomnia run, hide, and fight in a battle of supremacy between humans and vampires. Thus re-enacting the human-vampire experience within an augmented game world, the nocturnal city of Bremen.

During it's development, we aimed for:

the understanding of mobile gaming experiences

the "dynamic context" and the conceptual and technological challenges

a playable prototype of a location-based, mobile game.
